Need to Talk?

Have you ever needed to just talk to someone? Did you know God is always listening? Some people might say, "God already knows everything going on in my life so why should I tell him? Won't He get tired of hearing me?"

Take a moment and imagine this: your best friend just won a cool award or broke up with her boyfriend but before you hear it from her, the whole school knows. You end up hearing the entire story from a friend of a friend of a friend who knows this info.

When your friend comes to talk to you about the award or the breakup, are you going to say "Nope, not interested. Already heard about this from Jenny."

Chances are you want to hear the whole story from her. While there are a lot of people who know the story, your friend is going to add emotions and details. She's going to share with you not just what happened but how it affected her too.

It's the same way with God - He already knows what's going on in our lives ("For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether." - Psalms 139:4 KJV). But He wants to hear the details and emotions. He wants you to talk to Him the same way you would your friend.

So if you need to talk, pour out your heart to God!
