"Now a leper came to Him (Jesus), imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean." Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed." As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. - Mark 1:40-42 NKJV
Did you read the story? Jesus touched the leper. To understand the significance, you must understand that lepers were considered the worst of the worst in Biblical times. They were dirty. They were diseased. They were outcasts, forced to live outside their cities and watch their family members grow old.
Jesus didn’t heal the leper first. He touched him. He didn’t wait for this guy to get his act together. He chose to touch this leper where he was. Today I'm praising God for His compassion. He loves us right where we are.

Merry Christmas, Deb! I loved reading through your "Days of Praise" -- I think it's something I need to start in my personal journaling time. Such a great idea!
Have a blessed holiday season!

Merry Christmas to you too, Jen! I'm glad you've enjoyed reading the days of praise. It really was such a fun experience and it opened my eyes to all the little things God does for me that I so easily overlook. Thanks for visiting. :)
